Welcome to our Alternative-to-Incarceration (ATI) program, where we believe in providing justice-involved individuals with the resources they need to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to society. Our comprehensive program is designed to empower Justice Involved individuals and provide the tools to successfully reintegrate into their communities and thrive. Let’s explore how our evidence-based ATI program can make a meaningful difference in your life.
Our ATI program is rooted in the principles of local laws and correction statutes, focusing on creating a transformative experience during and after incarceration. We understand that a successful reentry requires addressing key criminogenic needs. That’s why our program emphasizes four core areas: Behavioral Health, Lifestyle Enrichment, Education, and Employment.
In the A-component of our program, participants engage in weekly Behavioral Health sessions facilitated by licensed professionals. This safe space allows for reflection on past behaviors, taking responsibility, and cultivating a positive thought process. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) forms the foundation of our approach, enabling participants to challenge negative thinking patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. Research shows that CBT is highly effective in reducing criminal behavior and improving mental health outcomes.
Lifestyle Enrichment is an integral part of our ATI program, promoting personal growth and well-being. Through Therapeutic Wellness Services (TWS), participants attend anger management workshops, meditation sessions, and physical conditioning activities. These activities foster emotional regulation, self-awareness, and stress management. Participants also receive training in interpersonal skills, leadership development, and implicit bias, empowering them to navigate real-world scenarios upon reentry.
Education is a catalyst for change, and we are committed to providing access to learning opportunities. Our ATI program partners with prestigious CUNY and SUNY colleges, creating a pipeline for individuals to pursue higher education post-release. From high school equivalency programs to postsecondary degrees, we equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed for success. Additionally, we offer Google certifications in high-demand fields such as IT, Digital Marketing & E-commerce, Data Analytics, Project Management, and UX design. These certifications enhance employability and open doors to rewarding careers.
Employment plays a crucial role in reducing recidivism rates. Our ATI program collaborates with local trade unions, private businesses, and CUNY/SUNY schools to facilitate job placement and vocational training. Through partnerships, participants gain access to a wide range of employment opportunities in fields like HVAC, electrical, welding, and more. We ensure that participants receive the necessary support, including resume building, interview preparation, and ongoing employment assistance.
We strongly believe in the power of community engagement. Our ATI program encourages participants to actively contribute to their communities through volunteering with Community Based Organizations (CBOs). This hands-on involvement not only benefits the community but also fosters personal growth and a sense of purpose. Studies show that engaging in community service significantly reduces recidivism rates.
By participating in our ATI program, you will embark on a transformative journey toward personal growth, education, and employment. Our evidence-based approach equips you with the tools and support you need to break free from the cycle of incarceration and build a brighter future.
